6th Class History Trip

6th Class History Trip

Last Friday, our 6th classes went on an exciting and educational trip to two famous Dublin’s landmarks: 14 Henrietta Street and the General Post Office (GPO). The trip tied in with the novel they are currently reading 'The Guns of Easter' by Gerard Conway, which takes place during the Easter Uprising of 1916.

At 14 Henrietta Street, the girls were given a guided tour where they explored life in Dublin's tenements, and were able to see the terrible living conditions first hand.

They also visited the GPO museum, where they learned about the Easter Rising of 1916, seeing artefacts and hearing stories from the time.

Here are some photos from the day!
