As principal of Mount Anville Primary School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you as you visit our website and get a sense of our school. Mount Anville is an all-girls school catering for children from junior infants to sixth class. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school and provide a happy, nurturing environment where each and every child can reach their potential. We are part of the Sacred Heart Network of schools who uphold a shared ethos. This ethos centres on the promotion of the five key goals of Faith, Character, Social Justice, Community and Intellect. This ethos sets us apart from other schools and is embedded in the culture and daily life of our school community. It is based on mutual respect and the importance of valuing each other’s unique talents and potential.
At Mount Anville Primary School, our dedicated teachers ensure the highest standards in teaching and learning. Pupils are offered a broad, balanced curriculum with a variety of rich learning experiences. Core teaching is supported by a vibrant variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Our teaching staff work alongside a strong team of Special Needs Assistants (SNAs) who support our pupils throughout the school and all staff are well-supported by an effective Board of Management. We are fortunate to have very close working relationships with our parent body and have a very active Parents Council who are an integral part of our school community.
My vision for this school centres on fostering a love of learning within all pupils, which they will carry throughout their primary school days and beyond into the future. I am passionate about ensuring that children’s voices are heard and valued and committed to fostering the development of all pupils holistically—ensuring that they thrive socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually as well as educationally. The wellbeing of each and every child in the school is at the forefront of everything I do as a school leader.
