Mount Anville Campus Development Project — An Exciting Milestone
We were delighted to welcome parents and members of our school community to an Information Evening on Wednesday, 15th April 2026, where details of the campus development project were shared. The evening concluded with a special sod-turning ceremony on the back field, led by Principal Angela Munro, alongside Board of Management members Michele Griffin (Chair), Niamh Sorohan and Hector Cronje. Staff members Deputy Principal Ms Horan, Ms Noronha, Ms McCabe, together with parents including Marianne Lambert Chair of the Parents Council, joined in this important occasion. (See photos below)
This project has been many years in the making, with its origins dating back to 2014. Over that time, parents undertook significant fundraising efforts, and previous Boards of Management engaged consultants to ensure the best possible outcome for our pupils. The current Board published a Strategic Plan in 2023, and this project now realises the goals outlined within it. The result is a carefully considered development that will greatly enhance our campus for current and future generations.
The development will be delivered in three phases:
Phase One (April 2026): New all-weather play area, regrading of the field and pathways, and major drainage improvements.
Phase Two (July 2026): Drainage works beside the basketball court and rear classrooms.
Phase Three (June 2027): Redevelopment of the front play area.
Work has already commenced, with initial site activity beginning on 14th April 2026 — marking the start of an exciting and transformative period for the school.
Thank you
We extend our sincere thanks to the Trustees, the RSCJ (Society of the Sacred Heart), past Boards of Management, and the many parents, past and present, whose generosity and support made this project possible. We also acknowledge the dedication and collective work of the current Board of Management, whose commitment, oversight and expertise have been central to bringing the project to commencement.
We wish to particularly acknowledge Michele Griffin (Chair), Hector Cronje (Parent Nominee), and Lorna Fahy (Treasurer), together with Principal Angela Munro, who led the working group and played a key role in progressing the project. We also acknowledge the valuable contribution of fellow Board members Cliodhne Hamilton, Alan Fuller, Catherine McConville and Niamh Sorohan.
Finally, we remember with appreciation former Board member Eoin McCarthy, who passed away suddenly in January and whose contribution to this project over many years is gratefully acknowledged.
We look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses and thank our community for its continued support.
