On Friday, 27th February, our 6th class girls celebrated a truly memorable milestone as they received the Sacrament of Confirmation in St Laurence’s Church. It was a beautiful and uplifting ceremony.
We were very fortunate that the rain stayed away, allowing families and friends to gather comfortably and enjoy the occasion. The girls carried themselves with great confidence and reverence, making our entire school community very proud.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Fr Egan, our chaplain, for his guidance and support . Sincere thanks also to Bishop Donal Roche, who administered the sacrament and made the ceremony so meaningful for everyone present.
A very special word of appreciation goes to our wonderful 6th-class teachers, Ms Johnston, Ms Barnes, Ms Cahalane and Ms Roche, who worked tirelessly to prepare the girls spiritually and practically for the day. Their care and dedication ensured everything ran smoothly.
The ceremony was enhanced by the beautiful singing of our school choir. The girls sang with confidence and joy, adding greatly to the prayerful atmosphere of the day. Thank you to the 5th class teachers. The hard work and preparation showed. We would especially like to thank Ms McCabe for accompanying the choir so wonderfully and Ms Travers for conducting the choir with such skill and enthusiasm. Their hard work and musical leadership made a real difference and were deeply appreciated by all in attendance.
We wish the girls continued happiness and blessings as they move forward on their faith journey.
