After-school soccer training sessions for girls in 1st, 2nd and 3rd classes take place every Thursday. While they are not yet participating in competitive matches, they are developing their skills, building confidence and most importantly, having fun as they learn the game together.
Meanwhile, our 4th, 5th and 6th class teams are training every Wednesday after school and proudly representing the school in the Dublin FAI School Soccer League. The girls have already taken part in several exciting matches this season. They played against Our Lady’s Booterstown on Friday, 17th April, faced St Brigid’s on Thursday, 23rd April and celebrated a fantastic victory over Kildare Place School on Wednesday, 29th April. Their teamwork and determination have been wonderful to see.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the parents who generously give their time to escort the girls to training sessions and matches. A special word of thanks goes to our dedicated parent leads, Deirdre and Barry, as well as the Mount Merrion coaches for their continued support and guidance.
Well done to all involved and we look forward to many more enjoyable sessions and matches ahead!
