Our New Sensory Room Officially Opening
We are delighted to share photographs from the official opening of our new Sensory Room at Mount Anville Primary School on Wednesday 24th June 2026. The room was named The Happy Hub by one of our own pupils and a plaque was erected acknowledging the dedication of our outgoing principal Ms Munro to the project.
This wonderful space has been made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of our parents and pupils who raised an amazing €15,629 during the Wiggle and Wellness Walk in November 2025. Their support has helped create a calm, welcoming environment where children can regulate, recharge and feel supported throughout the school day. Alongside the room itself, we have also invested in sensory and movement resources for classrooms, ensuring that children can access the supports they need throughout the school day.
Ms Noronha, our SENCO, was instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. She worked in close collaboration with Michelle Woods Occupational Therapist, Sensory House, Merrion Contracting and school staff to ensure its successful and timely completion. We thank her sincerely for her unwavering commitment, vision and dedication in delivering this high-quality, permanent resource. There are further developments planned, including additional movement and sensory equipment, as the space continues to grow to meet the needs of our pupils. It will provide lasting benefits for our pupils and will greatly support the teachers and SNAs who work with them every day.
