Seachtain na Gaeilge

Is ócáid íontach í Seachtain na Gaeilge sa scoil. Is deis í dúinn ár dteanga a chéiliúradh le chéile agus aird a tharraingt ar an nGaeilge beo a chloistear tríd na scoile chuile lá.

Balíonn an scoil ar fad go léir sa halla chun taispeántas amhránaíocht, rince, ceol agus filíocht den scoth a chur ar siúl. Is mór an spórt a bhíonn ag na páistí sna hardranganna ar ndóigh agus iad ag ghlacadh páirt i dTráth na gCeist spleodrach. Feictear na páistí agus na múinteoirí uilig ag caitheamh an dath glas go brodúil ar an Lá Glas. Tagann tuismitheoirí agus comhphobal na scoile le chéile ar maidin chun féachtaint ar na páistí agus iad ag canadh agus ag seinm ceoil thraidisiúnta. Tá an t-ádh linn chomh maith go mbíonn an seans againn éisteacht le banna ceoil suntasacha a thagann ar cuairt chugainn.

Is féidir a rá go bhfuil sár-mheas againn dár gcultúr agus dár ndoichreacht i Scoil Náisiúnta Cnoc Ainbhil!

Seachtain na Gaeilge is a wonderful event in the school. It is an opportunity for us to celebrate our language together and draw attention to the Irish that is heard throughout the school every day.

The whole school gathers in the hall for an impressive display of singing, dancing, music and poetry. The children in the upper classes have a lot of fun as they take part in an exciting Quiz. All the children and teachers are seen proudly wearing the color green on Green Day. Parents and the school community come together in the morning to watch the children sing and play traditional music. We are also lucky that we have the chance to listen to a traditional band that comes to visit us.

We have a great respect for our culture and our hard work at Mount Anville Primary School
