What is Active School?

Active School Flag is a Department of Education and Skills initiative supported by Healthy Ireland. The Active School Flag is awarded to schools that strive to achieve a physically educated and physically active school community. The process aims to get more schools, more active, more often.

Last year we were delighted to earn our renewal flag; we focused on the following areas: Physical Education, Physical Activity and Partnerships. We are also really looking forward to our Active Week in May!

  • Active Lines at the end of yard time
  • Active breaks during the school day to reduce sedentary time
  • Whole School Running challenge- Dublin to Paris 1,056 km!!!
  • Selected 4 Fundamental Movement Skills
